What is the CUFA Challenge Program?
The CUFA Challenge Programs are an exciting range of activities designed
to take people out of their comfort zones. They offer a unique insight into a
country's culture allowing for an intimate connection with communities and
their financial cooperative movement.
As a development and team building program, the CUFA Challenges are second
to none as they bring people together during an interdependent, testing
and rewarding experience, whilst providing participants with an enjoyable, inspirational
and unforgettable learning and bonding experience.
A life-changing journey…
The CUFA Challenges are exciting and adventurous leadership programs like
no other and are a real test physically, emotionally, intellectually, and culturally.
Comprising of fundraising and physical challenges, participants - "Challengers" first
raise funds for CUFA development programs then meet the challenge of hands
on in-country project development work or exposure to development
projects.
The Challenge programs offers the ultimate opportunity for personal
growth through the challenge of fundraising and delivering the project work, and represents
the worthwhile cause of providing development, community
building and alleviating
poverty.
The fundraising element empowers people to get involved and
become effective ambassadors for financial cooperatives and community development.
The physical
challenge test people’s resources and is a superb opportunity for developing
inner strength and teamwork. The CUFA Challenges also offer exposure to different
cultures, beliefs, traditions and ideas.
