Following are the issues and our activities that involve Indigenous Action.

CUFA advocates for Australian credit unions to take action and engage with indigenous stakeholders by supporting activities that improve conditions for Indigenous Australians, to close the 17 year life expectancy gap that exists between Australian Indigenous and non-indigenous people.

Engagement with indigenous stakeholder organisations or directly with indigenous communities in their area of operations, aims to build respect, relationships and opportunity through:

• Developing an Action Plan
• Cultural Awareness Training for staff
• Recognising traditional owners and languages of country and nations
• Providing employment and education pathways to a sustainable future
